Don Junior-They will lie and lie
Donald Trump Junior (Junior) is right about one thing. Folks “will lie and lie” when the truth isn’t in them.
Last year during an interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper (JT), Donald Trump Jr. blasted Hillary Clinton (The Hills) and her crew for what he said was their inability to tell the truth.
Junior said to Tapper, “I mean, they’ll say anything to be able to win this. I mean this is time and time again, lie after lie…They will lie and do anything to win.”
Unfortunately for ol’ Junior there, he is having the same problem that he said The Hills had.
On Saturday, the New York Times reported that Donald Trump Junior, former Campaign Manager Paul Manafort, and Jared Kushner met with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, who denies ever working for the Russian government, in order to get dirt on Hillary Clinton.
Junior’s story about the purpose of the meeting has changed day-by-day-by-day. First, Junior said the meeting was about child adoption and that he didn’t know Veselnitskaya would be attending the meeting.
The New York Times quoted Junior as saying, “We primarily discussed a program about the adoption of Russian children that was active and popular with American families years ago, and was since ended by the Russian government, but it was not a campaign issue at the time and there was no follow up. I was asked to attend the meeting by an acquaintance, but was not told the name of the person I would be meeting with beforehand.”
The only problem with all of this is that less than 24 hours after the story was printed, Junior changed his story.
Not only did he say the meeting was really about getting dirt on The Hills, but he also said he knew Veselnitskaya would be in attendance.
And then on Monday, Junior decided that he would release all three pages of emails, via Twitter, related to the meeting that he first said was about adoption but turned out to be about The Hills.
